- Update to POCT INR Workflow
As of June 3, 2026, the workflow for Point of Care Testing (POCT) that uses patient self-tested international normalized ratio (INR) readings has been updated. The main changes include:
- Enhancement of existing “MyChart Home Anticoagulation Monitoring” order to trigger a new flowsheet row for the inpatient context, allowing clinicians and the patient to enter results. New flowsheet row is called “Patient Self-Tested INR”, to clearly differentiate from lab-performed results.
- The hard stop previously encountered with the creation of an Episode of Care is now a soft stop and will not require resolving a previous EoC regardless of previous admission/POCT INR order.
