In Basket Update - Changes to Default Display

Enhancement updates provide short alerts to new, fixed or improved Connect Care functions...
  • In Basket Update - Changes to Default Display of Select Message Types
As of May 21, 2026, the default display of some In Basket message types will be changing to a more standardized, streamlined view (click camera icon for example screenshots). Note that those who had previously personalized their display of the impacted In Basket message types will lose their personalization with this change; tips and recommendations on (re-)personalization following the change are below.

  • Impacted message types: All Reminders, Appointment Notification, Cancelled Orders, CC Charts, Chart Completion, Chart Correction, My Open Charts, My Open Encounters, Note Routing, Overdue Results, Patient Calls, Referral Message, Referral Triage, Result Follow Up (will not change for Transplant Coordinators), Results (will not change for ED users), Rfl Notification Letter, Staff Message
  • Changes include:
    • Most important information now in the leftmost columns
    • Replaced separate "Date" and "Time" columns with single "Date + Time" column
    • Removed redundant columns: "Pool?" (info also in "Responsibility" column), "Status" (bolding indicates "New" status, non-bolding indicates "Read"), "My Chart" (info via flag on patient’s Storyboard)
    • Renamed similar columns for consistency, e.g., "Sender"/"Sent By"/etc. now all "Sender"
    • Some columns now hidden by default (can be added back or used for filtering/sorting)
    • Renamed and grouped columns linked to the "Follow-up" activity:
      • "Action" renamed "Follow-up Action", "Msg/Note" and "Comment" renamed "Follow-up Comment", and "Due Date" renamed "Follow-up Due Date"
      • Flag in rightmost column
      • Note: The Follow-up activity can be accessed by highlighting a message in a message folder, and all Follow-up messages can be accessed via the main In Basket toolbar.
  • Personalization tips:
    • Columns that have been hidden by default can be added back to a user's personalized view.
    • For an expanded, more user-friendly view, change the position of the Report Pane to the bottom (default is to the right).
