- New Urine Culture OPA for LTC/DSL Sites
To address the overutilization of urine cultures and optimize UTI treatment, as of January 13, 2026, a Urine Culture Our Practice Advisory (OPA) for Long-Term Care (LTC)/Designated Supportive Living (DSL) sites will be implemented.
When a urine culture is ordered in LTC/DSL sites, an OPA will pop up (click the camera icon for a screenshot) and will need to be addressed by the ordering provider to continue with the order.
